uLab Open Source Remote Laboratory Project

The uLab project is currently using space generously donated by the Trinity Desktop Project on its GIT server to store and manage code.
A copy of the uLab code can be obtained via 'git clone http://scm.trinitydesktop.org/scm/git/remotelaboratory'
The uLab code may also be viewed online via CGIT here.

The modified xrdp code can be obtained via 'git clone http://scm.trinitydesktop.org/scm/git/xrdp-proprietary'
The modified xrdp code may also be viewed online via CGIT here.

Binary builds for Debian and Ubuntu are available here.
Binary builds of the standalone SVF utilities from GIT are available for armel here.

A copy of Timothy Pearson's Masters thesis describing the uLab system architecture and implementation is available for personal use at no charge via the following link:
Design and Implementation of the uLab Remote Hardware Design Laboratory

Highly condensed installation notes created during the uLab deployment at Northern Illinois University are available here.

NOTE: The system at Northern Illinois University is a downscaled version of the original system deployed at Raptor Engineering; the system at Northern Illinois University also omits proprietary features and components used by the original uLab and is NOT an officially supported configuration at this time. However, this configuration is sufficient for both development and production use by individuals or organizations with sufficient Information Technology skill and experience to successfully install and manage a Linux cluster containing several interdependent machines.

If you or your organization is interested in a professionally installed and supported standalone uLab system, or would like to purchase subscription access to an existing uLab instance, please contact Raptor Engineering with your requirements to receive additional information.

check out the related IGI Global book chapter for more information on the old RL-RIDI system!
